Banteay Samre

Built during the reign of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century, this is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style.

 

It is one of the smaller temples and was named after the Samré, an ancient people of Indochina, the temple uses the same materials as the Banteay Srei. It is associated with the legend of the cucumber King.
